Panagiotes Anastasiades is currently Assistant Professor in the Department of Education at the University of Crete and also Vice President of the Permanent Scientific Committee on Social Issues of the Greek Computer Society. He has been Visiting Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Engineering and informatics at the Polytechnic School of The University of Patras (1999-2002) , and also Visiting Lecturer in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Cyprus (2000-2002). His research interests include Life Long and Distance Learning, Social & Educational Informatics, Information Society Theories, Information Systems & New Economy
